Discovery ran for five seasons, and its last two are covered by two Rittenhouse sets. This is what each contains, who signs, and where the rarest cards are.
Season Four
A box holds 3 autograph cards and 1 relic card. On top of that, every case contains 5 inscription autographs, 2 autograph relic cards and a case topper.
The base set is 78 cards, six for each of the thirteen episodes. The inserts include 28 Costume Relics (1:24 packs), Gold parallels (1:1), Red parallels (1:24), Behind-the-Scenes, Costume Design, Storyboard Art and Relationships. The rarer series are Starfleet's Finest, twelve cards numbered to 99 each, The Captain's Chair at 1:96, and three UK Stamp cards at 1:576 — roughly one in every two cases.
The signers include Sonequa Martin-Green, Doug Jones, Anthony Rapp, Wilson Cruz, Mary Wiseman, Blu Del Barrio, David Ajala and Tig Notaro — and Stacey Abrams, who appeared in the season as the President of United Earth.
Season Five
A box holds 24 packs of 5 cards, with 4 autographs, including rare dual and inscription autographs, and 1 relic card.
The base set is 60 cards, six per episode. Among the inserts: Costume Relics (1:24), Gold and Red parallels, Costume Design, Storyboard Art, Character Foldouts, Burnham: A Hero's Journey, Metal Character cards (1:48) and Cut Comic cards at 1:288. Sketch cards are randomly inserted.
The signers include Sonequa Martin-Green, Anson Mount, Ethan Peck, Anthony Rapp, Doug Jones, Mary Wiseman, David Ajala, Blu Del Barrio, Mia Kirshner and Paul Guilfoyle.
Season Five carries case incentives: at six cases, one of four inscription autographs signed by Ethan Peck; at twelve, an incentive box with exclusive autographs, including dual relic cards numbered to 75 with materials from Pike and Spock.
Choosing between them
Season Four has the larger base set and the guaranteed inscriptions per case. Season Five has more autographs per box, the incentive cards, and Anson Mount and Ethan Peck in the signer list. The Season Four collector album comes with a promo card issued only with the album.
All pull rates are averages across the full print run. No individual box or case is guaranteed to contain any particular insert, sketch or signer beyond the configuration described above.
