COBI

COBI is a Polish manufacturer of construction brick sets, founded in 1987 and still producing in Europe. The range we carry is built around the Historical Collection: armoured vehicles, aircraft, artillery and ships, mostly in 1:35 and 1:48, built under licence from the companies and museums that own the real machines. Markings are printed directly onto the blocks rather than applied as stickers, so they don't peel.

Scale is the thing to watch when you buy across the range. The 1:35 tanks and armoured carriers stand correctly alongside each other, and the 1:48 aircraft form their own consistent group. Set numbers in the 2000s and 3000s are historical ground vehicles and dioramas, the 5000s are aircraft, and the 24000s and 26000s cover the licensed car and airliner ranges — Volkswagen, Skoda, Trabant, Boeing.

Piece counts run from around 100 for small figures and scenes up to several thousand for the largest ships. Most sets include a printed display plate, and many include brick-built figures. Every set listed here is physically in stock and ships from the United States, which avoids the shipping cost and customs delay that comes with ordering from Europe.
