LOZ's Xi'an Dayan Pagoda, set 8185, is a model of the Giant Wild Goose Pagoda in Xi'an, built from 4,925 pieces, with its stepped, square tiers rising in the style of the Tang dynasty.
A tower built for books
The Giant Wild Goose Pagoda was built in the 7th century, under the Tang dynasty, to hold the Buddhist scriptures and relics that the monk Xuanzang had brought back to China from a journey of many years to India. His travels later became the basis of one of the great novels of Chinese literature, Journey to the West. The pagoda still stands in Xi'an and is one of the city's landmarks.
