Why it is called Augsburg
There is no truck manufacturer called Augsburg. The name is a way of naming a make without naming it.
MAN β the German lorry builder β stands for Maschinenfabrik Augsburg-NΓΌrnberg, and its roots and its engine works are in Augsburg. BlueBrixx has no licence to use the MAN name or badge, so the model is a MAN in everything but the word, and the city does the work instead.
The practice is normal in this industry. A licence for a commercial vehicle brand costs money and takes time, and for a 403-piece model the economics rarely justify it. So manufacturers model the vehicle accurately, leave the badges off, and choose a name that tells the people who know without claiming anything.
If you look at the rest of this catalogue you will find the same thing: a Formula car from 1979 rather than a named team, a Western saloon rather than a licensed film set.
Three axles behind, two in front
The configuration is not arbitrary. European weight regulations limit load per axle as well as total weight, so the number of axles determines how much a vehicle may legally carry. A three-axle trailer spreads the load enough to run at the maximum permitted gross weight where a two-axle one could not.
That is why long-distance trailers in Europe have three axles almost without exception, and why the rear one frequently lifts when the trailer runs empty β an axle on the road that is not needed costs tyres and fuel.
