What this is, plainly

Sixty pieces and one figure, from COBI's older and simpler Small Army line. There is no modelling scale, no real vessel behind it, and no pretence of one — the Shark is a generic patrol boat designed to be played with.

That is worth stating, because COBI is now better known for 1:35 models with museum licences and pad-printed markings, and someone buying on the strength of that reputation should know this is a different product.

As what it is, it works well. Sixty pieces is fifteen minutes, the boat is robust enough to be handled, and at this price it is a sensible first brick set or an addition to a box of toys rather than a shelf.

Other Small Army sets include 2163, 2164, 2215, 2217, 2219 and 24181. If you want a boat that reproduces a real vessel at the collection's scale, sets 4849 (LCVP Higgins boat) and 4825 (PT-109) are the Historical Collection equivalents.
