He appears once in Twin Peaks: The Return, for about three minutes, as Wally Brando — the son of Deputy Andy and Lucy, named after Sheriff Truman, who arrives on a motorcycle in a leather jacket and delivers a speech entirely in the voice and cadence of Marlon Brando in The Wild One.

Nobody in the scene reacts. Lucy and Andy listen with tears in their eyes. The sheriff nods politely. Wally then rides away and is never mentioned again.

It is possibly the purest piece of David Lynch in eighteen hours of television: a scene with no plot function, no consequence, and no explanation, that is either the funniest thing in the series or a complete waste of three minutes depending on who you ask.

A three-minute role with an autograph card is exactly the sort of thing that makes a checklist interesting. Alicia Witt is also here — she was fourteen when she played Gersten Hayward in the original run and returned twenty-five years later.
