COBI Maserati MC20 Cielo - Executive Edition Set 24351

COBI's Maserati MC20 Cielo Executive Edition is a 1:12 model built from 2,312 blocks under original licence from Maserati, 39 cm long, in aquamarine. The roof folds, the doors open upward, the steering turns the front wheels, and the set includes a display stand with a plate carrying the car's name, the scale and the Maserati trident.

Sixty-five cars

The colour is the point of this edition. When the Cielo was launched, Maserati built a PrimaSerie launch edition of just sixty-five cars in an aquamarine finish meant to read as deep water rather than as paint — the shade shifts with the light the way the sea does.

Sixty-five buyers got one. The block model is the version most people can actually have.

Underneath

The Cielo is the open version of the MC20, and it keeps the car's substance rather than just losing its roof: the carbon fibre tub, the butterfly doors, and the Nettuno V6 built by Maserati in Modena, which uses a Formula 1 pre-chamber ignition system to make 630 hp from three litres. Under three seconds to 100 km/h, over 320 km/h flat out.

In the COBI range

Set 24352 is the same Cielo in the standard red edition with fewer pieces and a lower price. Set 24335 is the fixed-roof MC20 coupé. All three are 1:12.
