COBI Maserati Granturismo Folgore Set 24506
COBI's Maserati GranTurismo Folgore is a 1:35 model built from 97 blocks under original licence from Maserati, 14 cm long, with wheels that roll on rubber tires. All markings are printed.
Three motors, one for each job
Folgore means lightning, and this is Maserati's first fully electric car. What makes it unusual is the layout: three motors rather than the usual one or two โ one at the front, two at the rear, each rated at 300 kW, together producing 761 hp and 1,350 Nm.
Having a separate motor at each rear wheel means the car can send different amounts of power to each side and steer itself through a corner by torque rather than by the front wheels alone. The 800-volt architecture comes from Formula E, where Maserati raced, and it is what allows roughly 100 km of range to be added in about five minutes of charging.
The figures that follow: 2.7 seconds to 100 km/h, 320 km/h, around 450 km on a charge.
