COBI Maserati Garage Set 24568

COBI's Maserati Garage is a 1:35 set built from 500 blocks under original Maserati licence, and contains three models: a garage building with equipment, a red Maserati GranCabrio Sport and a dark blue Maserati Levante. Two figures are included, a mechanic and a driver. The cars have wheels that turn on rubber tires, and all markings are printed.

Two cars and somewhere to put them

This is the set that makes the rest of the Maserati range work as a display rather than a row.

COBI's individual cars are around 100 pieces each and finished the moment they are built. A garage is different: it gives the cars a place to be, a reason for the mechanic figure to exist, and a scene that can be rearranged. It is also the only way to get the GranCabrio Sport, which COBI does not sell separately.

At 500 pieces it is the largest set in the Maserati line and the one to buy if you are buying only one.

The two cars

The GranCabrio Sport is the convertible version of the GranTurismo, with the 4.7-litre Ferrari-built V8 — a genuine four-seat cabriolet, which is rarer than it sounds, since most convertibles of that size have rear seats nobody can use.

The Levante is Maserati's SUV, introduced in 2016 and named, like most Maseratis, after a Mediterranean wind.

In the COBI range

Sets 24560 and 24565 are the Levante and the Levante Trofeo on their own, and 24567 the GranTurismo GT3 racing car with its own garage and starting position.
