BlueBrixx's Lower Manhattan is a 1:2000 architectural model built from 21,515 blocks, measuring 106 × 112 × 28 cm when assembled. Designed by Adrian, part of the BlueBrixx-Specials range, released in 2020. Instructions are supplied digitally.

This is the largest set BlueBrixx has made, and the number that matters is not the piece count. It is 106 by 112 centimetres — a square metre of floor or table, permanently.

That puts it in a different category from anything else in this shop. It is not a model you put on a shelf; it is a piece of furniture that has to be planned for. A dining table will not do, because it has to stay there. The weight is around eleven kilograms, so whatever it stands on must carry that without flexing, and moving it once built is not realistically possible — a model this size assembled from bricks will not survive being lifted as one object.

The build itself is measured in months rather than evenings. 21,515 pieces is roughly ten times a large COBI set.

None of that is a criticism. It is simply the information a buyer needs first, and most listings bury it.

What 1:2000 means here

At this scale a 400-metre skyscraper stands 20 centimetres tall. The model is not about individual buildings — no single tower has recognisable windows — it is about the skyline as a shape: the density at the southern tip, the way the towers step down towards the older districts, the gaps the streets cut through.

That is the same thing an architectural massing model does, and it is why this reads as a city rather than as a collection of blocks. Looked at from table height it is convincing in a way a larger-scale model of three buildings never is.
