Brick compatibility and figure compatibility are two different things

Worth knowing before mixing collections, because the packaging on almost every brand addresses only the first.

Bricks are interchangeable across most manufacturers. The stud spacing, diameter and tolerances were established decades ago and are no longer protected, so a brick from one brand clutches a brick from another with much the same grip.

Figures are not. Each manufacturer designs its own, and they differ in height, proportion, how the head attaches, and — the detail that catches people out — the size of the hand opening. A KIDDIZ figure stands on studs like any other and fits into any brick-built scene. Whether it can hold another brand's accessory, or wear another brand's hat, depends on the parts.

The practical answer is that KIDDIZ accessories and headgear are made for KIDDIZ figures, and mixing works sometimes rather than always. For a child building one town it makes no difference at all; for a collector matching parts it is the thing to check.

Six figures

A figure pack is the cheapest thing that changes an existing layout. Another building costs thirty dollars and an evening; six more residents cost fifteen and alter every scene already built.
