BlueBrixx Governors Island: Pergola Expansion Set 105327
BlueBrixx's Governors Island: Pergola Expansion is built from 463 blocks. Designed by Marco P., released 23 December 2022. Part of the modular Governors Island system.
This is an expansion, not an island
The Pergola has no rock island base of its own. It is built to attach to an existing Governors Island module and extend it β ordered alone, you have 463 pieces and nowhere to put them.
If you are starting the system from nothing, buy a module with a base first: set 105181 is the Harbour, 105128 the Tavern.
Shade without blocking the wind
A pergola is an odd structure if you think about it: a roof that is mostly holes.
In hot climates that is precisely the point. A solid roof gives complete shade and traps still, hot air underneath it. A pergola of open beams breaks up direct sun while letting the sea breeze move straight through, which is the only thing that makes an outdoor space bearable in the Caribbean afternoon.
Add climbing plants and the beams fill in over a few seasons β living shade that thins in winter when you want the light back and thickens in summer when you do not. Mediterranean and colonial architecture is full of them for exactly that reason, and they cost a fraction of a building.
It is an unglamorous module and it is the kind of detail that makes a modelled settlement look inhabited rather than staged.

Sets 105181 (Harbour) and 105128 (Tavern) are the modules this attaches to, and 105326 the Guard Tower Expansion. All by Marco P.
