COBI Desert Helicopter Set 2329
COBI's Desert Helicopter is built from 200 blocks and includes two figures. Part of the Small Army range, and compatible with other brick brands.
This set is discontinued
COBI no longer produces it. What remains on shelves is what exists, and when it is gone the only source is the secondhand market.
That is worth stating at the top because it changes the calculation. A current set can be bought next year; this one cannot. If it fits a collection you are building, the decision is now rather than later.
What it is
A 200-piece helicopter in desert colours from COBI's older, simpler line. No modelling scale, no specific aircraft behind the design, and the emphasis on play rather than on reproducing something real.
That is a different product from COBI's Armed Forces helicopters — the Black Hawk, the Chinook, the Bell 407 and 429 — which are licensed, scaled and pad-printed to match specific machines. Someone buying on the strength of that reputation should know which range this comes from.
As what it is, 200 pieces and two figures at this price is generous, and a helicopter is one of the things children actually want.
In the COBI range
Other Small Army sets include 2154, 2163, 2164, 2215, 2217, 2219, 2244, 2412 and 24092. The licensed helicopters are sets 5817 and 5906 (Black Hawk), 5807 (Chinook), 26627 and 26628 (Bell 407) and 26629 and 26630 (Bell 429).
