COBI RAM 1500 Set 24607
COBI's RAM 1500 is a 1:35 model built from 183 blocks, 16 cm long, with rotating wheels on rubber tires and solid block axles. All markings are printed.
The only full-size pickup without leaf springs
Every American full-size pickup carries its rear load on leaf springs โ stacked steel strips, a design that predates the motor car and is used because it is cheap, strong and takes weight without complaint. Every one except this.
The RAM 1500 has used coil springs at the rear since 2009, with a five-link location and, on higher trims, air suspension. Coils do not tolerate abuse the way leaves do, which is why nobody else did it, but they ride enormously better unladen โ and most pickups in America spend most of their lives unladen.
RAM itself only became a brand in 2010. Before that the truck was a Dodge, and the split was made because the people buying pickups and the people buying family cars had stopped being the same customers.
