COBI Pz.Kpfw. VI Tiger Ausf.E Set 2735
COBI's Pz.Kpfw. VI Tiger Ausf. E is a 1:48 model built from 422 blocks, 18 cm long, developed in cooperation with the MusΓ©e des BlindΓ©s in Saumur. The turret rotates, the barrel elevates and the tracks run. The set includes markings for two versions.
The Tiger that joined the French army
This is Tiger 114, and its history did not end when it was captured. The French took it into service, gave it a French name β Bretagne β and ran it as a French tank. That is why the set contains two sets of markings: you can build it as the German vehicle it was or the French one it became.
Very few Tigers survive anywhere. This one sits in the MusΓ©e des BlindΓ©s at Saumur, the French armour museum, which holds one of the largest collections of armoured vehicles in the world.
In the COBI range
The same tank exists as an 8,000-piece model at 1:12, set 2807, also developed with Saumur. Set 2734 is the Bovington Tiger 131 at this scale, and 2710 the earlier version of it.
