COBI Panzerhaubitze 2000 Set 2628

COBI's Panzerhaubitze 2000 is a 1:35 model built from 1,006 blocks, 34.5 cm long, released in cooperation with the Deutsches Panzermuseum in Munster. The tracks work, the turret rotates, the 155 mm barrel elevates and rests on a movable travel lock, the hatches open, and an MG3 sits on the turret roof. Camouflage and all markings are printed.

Five shells, one impact

The PzH 2000's defining trick is called MRSI — multiple rounds simultaneous impact. The gun fires a shell on a high trajectory, then lowers the barrel and fires the next on a flatter one, adjusting the propellant charge each time, so that rounds launched seconds apart all arrive on the target at the same instant.

A single howitzer can put three to five shells onto a position simultaneously. The target gets no warning from the first round, because there is no first round — everything lands together.

Doing that requires an automatic loader, an automatic charge-setting system and a ballistic computer working faster than any crew could, which is why the PzH 2000 costs what it does. It fires three rounds in under ten seconds when it needs to, reaches beyond 40 kilometres with assisted shells, and then leaves. Germany, the Netherlands, Italy, Greece, Lithuania and Croatia use it, and Ukraine has been operating donated examples since 2022.
