COBI M4A3 Sherman Set 3089

COBI's M4A3 Sherman is a 1:72 model built from 103 blocks, 9 cm long, with rolling wheels and a rotating turret. American markings are printed on the hull sides.

What this scale is for

Nine centimetres and a hundred pieces is twenty minutes of building, and the result fits on a windowsill.

That is the point of the 1:72 range. A single 1:28 tank occupies about the same shelf as a dozen of these, and for anyone who wants to look at a collection rather than one vehicle, the small scale is the only practical way to do it. Twelve tanks side by side show you how a Sherman compares to a Tiger and a T-34 in a way no single large model can.

It is also the cheapest entry point COBI offers, and a useful source of small parts if you build your own designs.

The 1:72 series includes the T-34 (3088), the Panzer III (3090), the Cromwell (3091), the Tiger 131 (3095), the ISU-152 (3096), the Panzer IV (3097), the IS-2 (3098), the Panther (3099), the Abrams (3106) and others. Sets 3108 and 3109 are collector's boxes holding twelve sets at once.

The larger Shermans are 3044 (1:35 cast hull), 2570 (1:28) and 3118 (Easy Eight with five figures).
