COBI M1A2 SEPv3 Abrams Set 2633

COBI's M1A2 SEPv3 Abrams is a 1:35 model built from 1,069 blocks, 27.5 cm long, in the camouflage and markings of the Polish 1st Warsaw Armoured Brigade. The turret rotates through 360 degrees, the 120 mm gun elevates, the M2 Browning and M240 machine guns move, the hatches and rear service panels open and the rear armour plate comes off. A Polish tank crewman in black beret with printed eagle and rank is included, along with two plaques — one with Polish and American flags, one with the brigade's mermaid emblem.

Why Poland bought 366 of them

Poland is now the largest Abrams operator outside the United States, and the reason is a chain of decisions that started in early 2022.

When Russia invaded Ukraine, Poland transferred a large part of its T-72 fleet across the border — hundreds of tanks, handed over at speed because Ukraine needed them immediately and Poland had them. That left a hole in Poland's own armoured forces that had to be filled, and filled fast.

The answer was 250 new M1A2 SEPv3, the latest production standard, plus 116 second-hand M1A1 in upgraded FEP configuration bought specifically because they could be delivered sooner. Training vehicles arrived in 2022 and deliveries of the final configuration began in 2025.

The mermaid on the second plaque is the coat of arms of Warsaw, carried by the 1st Warsaw Armoured Brigade — the formation that received the first of them.

Set 2632 is the M1A2 in American markings. Set 2624 is the T-72M1R, the tank these replaced.
