COBI Lancia Delta HF Integrale Set 24509
COBI's Lancia Delta HF Integrale is a 1:35 model built from 63 blocks, 11 cm long, with rotating wheels and printed sports detail.
What Integrale means
It is not a trim level. Integrale is Italian for integral, and on this car it refers to the drive: all four wheels, permanently, rather than switched in when needed.
That was the point of the 1987 model. The Delta HF Turbo was fast and front-wheel drive; putting the power through all four wheels turned it into something that could use its torque on loose surfaces, which is where rallies are decided. The bodywork grew blisters over the arches to cover a wider track, and the road car had to be built and sold in numbers because the rules of the day required it.
The result won the World Rally Championship for manufacturers every year from 1987 to 1992 โ six in a row, which no other car has managed.
