COBI Lancia Delta HF Set 24508

COBI's Lancia Delta HF is a 1:35 model built from 61 blocks under original licence from Lancia, 11 cm long, with rotating wheels and printed detail.

It was a family hatchback first

Before any of the rallying, the Delta was an ordinary five-door car for ordinary people, drawn by Giorgetto Giugiaro and launched in 1979. It won European Car of the Year in 1980 on the strength of being well packaged, well finished and easy to live with — a judgement made by motoring journalists who had no idea what the car would later become.

The HF was the quick version of that hatchback: a turbocharged four producing between roughly 130 and 165 hp depending on the year, front-wheel drive, and a deeper front air intake. It is the step between the family car and the four-wheel-drive Integrale that won six world championships in a row.
