COBI's Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio in red is a 1:35 model built from 90 blocks, 13 cm long, with rotating wheels on rubber tires and printed detail.

The clover and the missing corner

Before the 1923 Targa Florio, the Alfa driver Ugo Sivocci painted a green four-leaf clover inside a white square on the nose of his car. He had a reputation as the unluckiest fast driver in Italy — quick enough to lead, never quite able to finish. He won the race.

A few months later he was testing at Monza in a car that had not been painted with it, and he was killed. Alfa Romeo kept the symbol, and from then on drew it inside a triangle rather than a square. The missing corner is Sivocci.

The badge has marked Alfa's fastest cars ever since. On this one it means a 2.9-litre twin-turbo V6 of 510 hp, 3.9 seconds to 100 km/h, and a top speed over 300.
