COBI's Flying Bulls Vought F4U Corsair is a 1:32 model of the Corsair flown by the Flying Bulls, Red Bull's collection of historic aircraft in Salzburg, built from 665 blocks under license from Red Bull and Northrop Grumman, with a pilot figure.

The aircraft that started the Flying Bulls

The Flying Bulls did not begin with a plan for a collection. They began with this aircraft. The Corsair brought the Austrian pilot Sigi Angerer together with Dietrich Mateschitz, the founder of Red Bull, who saw in it a flying ambassador for a drink sold with the line that it gives you wings.

The fleet grew with the brand, outgrew its first home in Innsbruck, and moved into its own hangar at Salzburg Airport; the company The Flying Bulls was founded in 1999. The Corsair remains the most demanding aircraft in the collection to keep flying: it needs almost forty hours of maintenance for every hour in the air, and it is flown gently to spare an airframe built in 1945.

Set 26632 is the same Flying Bulls Corsair at the smaller 1:48 scale, and set 26633 is the Flying Bulls Mustang at 1:32. The F4U-1 Corsair (5773) and F4U-4 Corsair (2417) are the wartime and Korean War versions at this scale.
