COBI Christmas Gift Set 20008

COBI's Christmas Gift Set is built from 35 blocks into a Christmas scene: a tree, presents, and a figure of a boy in a reindeer jumper and a Santa hat. The finished model is 7.5 cm wide and 6.5 cm high. No stickers — printed parts only.

A decoration you make rather than buy

Thirty-five pieces is fifteen minutes, and there is no play function. That is the whole proposition, and it is a reasonable one.

Most Christmas ornaments arrive finished. This one is assembled at a table by whoever is going to look at it, which for a child is a different relationship with an object entirely — and it can be taken apart and rebuilt next December rather than stored as a fragile thing in tissue paper.

At this size and price it also works as the small gift that is not the main gift: a stocking filler, a place setting at a table, or something to hand a child while the adults are cooking.
