COBI BWT Alpine F1 Team Car Set 1684 (Damaged Box)

COBI's BWT Alpine A524 is a 1:26 model of the team's 2024 Formula 1 car, built from 276 blocks under an official licence, and supplied with a driver figure in full Alpine race suit.

Condition

This set is sold at a reduced price because the outer box is damaged — it may have holes, creases or crushed corners. The contents are brand new, sealed and complete. If you are building the model rather than collecting sealed boxes, the only difference is the price.

The model

The wheels turn on rubber tires, the driver fits into the cockpit, and the Alpine and sponsor liveries are printed onto the blocks rather than applied as stickers. At 21.5 cm the finished car is about the length of a sheet of A4 paper.

The real A524

The A524 began the 2024 season as the slowest car on the grid. Alpine arrived at testing overweight and short of engine power, failed to score in the opening races, and spent the first half of the year at the back. What happened in November is the reason the car is remembered at all: in a chaotic wet race at Interlagos, Esteban Ocon finished second and Pierre Gasly third — a double podium that no one had predicted in March, and enough on its own to lift Alpine to sixth in the constructors' championship.
