BlueBrixx's Farm Truck is a BlueBrixx Play set built from 273 blocks, measuring 15.3 Γ 6.3 Γ 8.3 cm assembled, with a removable roof. Two figures β a farmer and a helper β plus crates, tools and farm goods. All decoration is printed; no stickers. Released August 2024.
The crates are the interesting part
A farm truck full of wooden crates looks like set dressing. It is the oldest working logistics system in Europe and it still runs.
A grower selling at a market or to a shop needs containers that survive being stacked, loaded, emptied and brought back. Buying new packaging every trip is money thrown away, so the crate belongs to the farmer, goes out full, comes back empty, and does the same thing next week for years.
The whole arrangement depends on the crates being the same size as each other β so they stack without wasting space and fit the truck bed exactly. That standardisation happened locally, by growers and markets agreeing on dimensions long before anyone wrote a regulation about it.
It is the same logic that later produced the Euro pallet and the shipping container, arrived at independently by people moving vegetables.
A small truck for direct selling
A vehicle this size is what a farm uses to sell its own produce: to a weekly market, a farm shop, a handful of restaurants. It is not agricultural machinery β it is the vehicle that connects a farm to the people who eat what it grows.
