2009/10 Upper Deck Collector's Choice Hockey Hobby Box | 36 Packs | Factory Sealed

This is the year Collector's Choice put manga drawings and stick-on tattoos in the packs. Warriors of Ice renders NHL players as manga illustrations and falls 1:6 packs; Badge of Honor is a set of NHL team tattoos at the same rate. Neither existed in the 2008/09 edition.

Each box holds 36 packs of 6 cards — 216 cards in all — and every pack carries a Choice Reserve parallel. Every pack also holds either a Choice Rookie or a Three Star Selection, with a Choice Rookie in at least every second pack. Stick-Ums, the peel-and-stick player cards, fall 1:4, about nine per box, and one Prime Choice Reserve comes per box at 1:36. The base set runs to 200 cards.

CupQuest was rebuilt for this edition. In 2008/09 it was a playoff bracket whose cards grew scarcer with each round. Here it runs on four colour levels instead: Blue, Green and Red combine to fall 1:9 packs, and above them sits a Gold level numbered to 100, which the previous edition had no equivalent of.

The checklist carries the 2009 draft class: John Tavares, Matt Duchene, Victor Hedman, Erik Karlsson, Tyler Myers, Antti Niemi, Tyler Bozak, James van Riemsdyk and Jonas Gustavsson.
