The Heinkel 111 was the primary medium bomber used by the Luftwaffe during the
Second World War. The plane was designed before the war and was characterized
by a glass nose, its streamlined, aerodynamic shape and great performance. The
HE 111 could carry 2.5 tons of bombs and was armed with six 7.92mm machine
guns and a 20mm cannon, which allowed for very effective protection against
pursuing fighters. This very characteristic machine is especially associated
with the September campaign, the French campaign and the Battle of Britain,
where airplanes of this type were used en masse. Later on, the HE 111s took
over the tasks of bomber fighters, still fighting on all German fronts of the
war. This HE 111 model made of COBI construction blocks has many movable
elements such as rotating wheels with rubber tires, movable propellers and
ailerons. You can place two full-size pilot figures in the cabin. There are
two attached bombs under the fuselage. You can place another 6 charges in the
opening bomb hatch. The block model was produced in the markings used during
the French campaign of 1940. The blocks are covered with high-quality prints
that do not wear off even during intensive use. This is a great model for all
aviation enthusiasts. Thanks to the faithfully reproduced proportions and
details of the aircraft the model will be perfect as a decoration for the
collection of young and adult history and aviation enthusiasts alike. The
whole set is topped-off with a special brick with the printed model name.
