You cannot build this on its own

This is the most important thing to know before ordering, and it is easy to miss.

The Hall is the third expansion in the Blaustein system, and it requires everything before it: the base castle (set 102818), the Keep (103406 or the later 107089) and the Outer Bailey (104185). On its own you have 5,335 pieces and instructions that assume three other models are standing in front of you.

It also includes parts that were removed during the installation of the outer castle — so building this modifies what is already there rather than simply extending it.

If you are starting the Blaustein system from nothing, this is the fourth purchase, not the first.

How the modular system works

BlueBrixx built Blaustein to grow outward rather than as one enormous box. Each module connects to the ones before it, walls are reconfigured as the castle expands, and the layout can be adapted to the space available. With every expansion built, the complex passes 33,000 pieces.

The advantage is that cost and building time spread over years. The disadvantage is what this page is about: the order is not optional.

In the BlueBrixx range

Set 102818 is the Blaustein base castle and 105236 the Weir Walk Extension. Sets 105506, 105545, 105653 and 105654 belong to the separate Bear Rock Castle system, which does not connect to this one.
