COBI Toyota Land Cruiser FJ40 Blue Set 24695

COBI's Toyota Land Cruiser FJ40 in blue is a 1:35 model of the classic short-wheelbase Land Cruiser, built from 140 blocks under an official Toyota license.

Forty-one years in production

Toyota built the 40 Series Land Cruiser in Japan from 1960 until 1984, when the 70 Series replaced it. That was not the end of it. In Brazil, Toyota's plant in São Bernardo do Campo kept building its own version, the Bandeirante, until 2001 — for many years with Mercedes-Benz diesel engines, and from 1994 with a Toyota four-cylinder diesel.

When the last Bandeirante left the factory, the basic design had been in production for 41 years, long enough for Toyota to start reissuing discontinued parts for the 40 Series decades later so that owners could keep theirs running.
