COBI's Toyota GR Yaris Rally2 in black is a 1:35 model of Toyota's customer rally car, built from 98 blocks under an official Toyota license.
Three cylinders
Under the hood of the GR Yaris is an engine with one cylinder fewer than most small cars: a 1.6-liter three-cylinder with a turbocharger, designed new for the car. When the road car appeared in 2020, Toyota called it the most powerful three-cylinder engine in production, with around 260 hp from 1,618 cc.
The Rally2 car uses the same engine family. In competition trim it makes around 300 hp and sends it to all four wheels through a five-speed sequential gearbox β a small engine doing a job that used to call for four cylinders.
In the COBI range
Set 24691 is the same car in red, and set 24690 places it at the finish line with a figure. The Subaru Impreza WRX (24648) is another four-wheel-drive car shaped by rallying, also at 1:35.
