COBI Panzerjäger Tiger Ausf.B Jagdtiger Set 2733 (Damaged Box)

COBI's Panzerjäger Tiger Ausf. B Jagdtiger is a 1:48 model built from 528 blocks, 22 cm long, with a movable gun barrel, rotating wheels and working tracks. All markings are printed onto the blocks.

Condition

This set is sold at a reduced price because the outer box is damaged — it may have holes, creases or crushed corners. The contents are brand new, sealed and complete. If you are building the model rather than collecting sealed boxes, the only difference is the price.

Two battalions, and that was all

Fewer than 90 Jagdtigers were built, and only two units ever operated them: Heavy Anti-Tank Battalion 653 and Heavy Anti-Tank Battalion 512.

The 12.8 cm Pak 44 could destroy any Allied tank well beyond the range at which the target could identify what had fired. What it could not do was arrive. At 72 tonnes the Jagdtiger broke down on roads, could not use most bridges, and consumed fuel Germany no longer had. Most were lost to mechanical failure or destroyed by their own crews.
