COBI's Audi RS4 in green is a 1:35 model of the B9-generation RS 4 Avant, built from 100 blocks under an official Audi license. The wheels turn on rubber tires.

A car Americans cannot buy

The B9 RS 4 Avant was revealed at the Frankfurt Motor Show in 2017 with a 2.9-liter twin-turbo V6 of 450 PS, quattro all-wheel drive and the body of a family estate. It was sold across Europe and in other markets. It was never sold in the United States.

Audi's reasoning was simple: American demand for a compact performance wagon was too limited to justify it. When a magazine later reported that the car was coming after all, Audi answered that there were no plans to bring the RS 4 Avant to the U.S. The larger RS 6 Avant remained the only fast Audi wagon on sale here, which is one reason the RS 4 has a following among American enthusiasts that far exceeds the number of them on American roads.

Set 24670 is the same RS4 in red, set 24671 carries bicycles as a cycling team car, and set 24672 is the police version. The Audi quattro of 1980 (24664 and 24665) is where the four-wheel-drive line began.
