BlueBrixx Stargate on Planet Set 108211 (Damaged Box)

BlueBrixx's Stargate on Planet is a BlueBrixx-Pro diorama built from 665 blocks on a 220 × 200 mm base, with the gate about 120 mm high. Five minifigures are included — Carter, Jackson, Teal'c, Mitchell and Vala — printed front, back and arms, plus a Dial-Home Device, a MALP rover, naquadah crates and a removable ramp. Official Stargate licence.

Condition

This set is sold at a reduced price because the outer box is damaged — it may have holes, creases or crushed corners. The contents are brand new, sealed and complete. If you are building the model rather than collecting sealed boxes, the only difference is the price.

The ring has nine chevrons, and seven do the work

The set includes two tile sets for the chevron ring, active and idle, and the distinction is the one piece of Stargate mechanics the series is consistent about.

Six symbols describe a point in space, and the gate locks one chevron for each as it dials. The seventh is the point of origin — the symbol for the gate you are dialling from — because a destination means nothing without a starting point. The eighth adds a distance marker for another galaxy, and the ninth, used once, addresses a specific gate rather than a place.

So a gate mid-dial has some chevrons lit and some dark. You can pose this model either way.

In the BlueBrixx range

Set 106847 is the Goa'uld Al'kesh. BlueBrixx holds the official Stargate licence, which is rare — the franchise has had very little merchandise of any kind.
