BlueBrixx Playground Set 107422

BlueBrixx's Playground is a BlueBrixx Play set built from 345 blocks, with a swing, slide, seesaw and roundabout arranged on a base plate. Three figures are included — an adult supervising and two children. Designed by Tibor, released September 2024, with a printed manual and building sections.

Every piece of equipment here does the same job

A swing, a seesaw, a roundabout and a slide look like four different things. They are four versions of one thing: they move a child's head in ways that walking does not.

The inner ear contains the vestibular system, which tells the brain where the body is and which way is down. It develops through use, and the only way to use it is to be tipped, swung, spun and dropped. A child who does none of that arrives at school with poorer balance and a shakier sense of their own position in space.

Playground equipment was not designed from that theory — swings are older than the science. But it is why the same four devices turn up in every country, in every decade, without anyone deciding they should: children seek out exactly the sensations they need, and adults built the things children kept asking for.

What is in the set

The equipment moves. The swing swings, the seesaw tips, the roundabout turns. At 345 pieces it is a reasonable afternoon for a child of six or so, and it is designed to extend set 107857, the BlueBrixx Play kindergarten.

BlueBrixx Play is the company's range for children rather than collectors — manageable piece counts, clear instructions, and everyday scenes instead of museum subjects.
