Rittenhouse's Game of Thrones: Art & Images is built differently from most sealed trading card product. This is what is in a box and a case, who signs, and which cards are worth watching for.
The configuration
A box holds 5 packs of 5 cards — 25 cards in total. Every pack contains one on-card autograph, so every box contains five.
A sealed case holds 12 boxes. That is 60 pack autographs per case, plus a metal autograph card numbered to 55 that comes one per case, and a case topper: a three-card set of Artifex metal cards by Warren Martineck that fit together into a map of Westeros.
The ratio is the unusual part. A conventional hobby box holds around 120 cards, and most of them are base cards you open on the way to three or four hits. Here a fifth of everything in the box is signed.
Who signs
All autographs are signed on the card itself, not on stickers. The signers include Emilia Clarke, Kit Harington, Sophie Turner, Lena Headey, Sean Bean, Ciáran Hinds, Bella Ramsey, Conleth Hill, Mark Addy, Carice van Houten, Jacob Anderson, Rory McCann, Oona Chaplin, Jerome Flynn, Rose Leslie, Aidan Gillen, Michiel Huisman, Tobias Menzies, Hafthór Júlíus Björnsson and David Rintoul.
The rarest signed card is the dual autograph of Emilia Clarke and Michiel Huisman, numbered to 33.
The numbered cards
The base set is 99 cards: three each of 33 characters. Around it sit a series of inserts, most of them serially numbered:
Dragonglass acetate character cards, 24 of them, each numbered to 15. Artifex metal cards, 12, numbered to 25. Red foil base parallels numbered to 50. Faces of War, Artist Rendition and Memorable Duos, each numbered to 75. Episode posters by JJ Lendl, numbered to 75, and a signed version of the same posters numbered to 25. Two unnumbered story sets, The Saga of Daenerys Targaryen and The Saga of Ned Stark, complete the list.
At the very top are one-of-one cards: Sapphire parallels and printing plates for several of the insert series, and hand-drawn sketch cards by individual artists, which fall at roughly one per three cases. No two sketch cards are alike.
Box, case or album
A single box gives you five autographs and a chance at the numbered inserts. A case adds the metal autograph and the Westeros map topper, and gives twelve times the chances at the one-of-ones. The collector album is made for this set, with pages laid out to its card count and an exclusive promo card issued only with the album. It holds cards; it does not contain any.
All pull rates are averages across the full print run. No individual box or case is guaranteed to contain any particular numbered card, sketch or signer beyond the configuration described above.
