Handcrafted Magnetic Minifigure Display Shelf – Hardwood, Fits 5 Minifigs

A magnetic display shelf for five minifigures, handcrafted from solid hardwood. Two neodymium magnets are set flush into the back, so the shelf holds to a refrigerator, a steel door, a filing cabinet or any other magnetic surface without screws or holes.

A groove along the top holds a 1 × 20 stud plate, included with the shelf, and the figures stand on its studs. The front and top are finished with a satin clear coat that brings out the natural color and grain of the wood, with no stain or paint; the back is left unfinished so it sits flat against the surface.

Why it is 6⅜ inches wide

The shelf's size is set by the plate, and the plate by the brick standard. The studs on a building plate are spaced 8 mm apart, so a 20-stud plate is 160 mm long — just under 6.3 inches. That is the width of the shelf.

Twenty studs for five figures gives each one four studs of space: enough for a minifigure to stand with room around it, and for a cape, a weapon or a raised arm not to crowd its neighbor. Because the standard is shared across brands, the shelf takes LEGO minifigures as well as those from COBI, BlueBrixx, KiddiCraft and other compatible makers.

Four woods

The shelf is made in hard maple, red oak, cherry and walnut, from light to dark. Each piece of wood is different, so grain and color vary from shelf to shelf.
