2004/05 Upper Deck Series 1 Hockey Retail Box | 24 Packs | Factory Sealed

This box went on sale on 20 December 2004, into a season in which no NHL game was ever played. The lockout had begun on 16 September; on 16 February 2005 the season was cancelled outright, the first full season ever lost by a major North American league. Upper Deck printed and shipped Series 1 anyway.

Each box holds 24 packs of 8 cards, with one game-used jersey card per box. Young Guns, the rookie subset, appears here in three forms — regular, Retro and Legends — combining at 1:4 packs. None of those rookies played an NHL game that season.

The season that followed is in this shop as well: 2005/06 Series 2, the year the league came back and two first overall picks arrived at once.
