Cryptozoic followed The Walking Dead season by season, in half-season sets. We have sealed boxes of three of them, running from Woodbury to Terminus. This is what each contains and how they differ.
The common configuration
All three boxes hold 24 packs of 5 cards, with one autograph and one wardrobe card per box. Each has a 72-card base set built from episode stills. What changes from set to set is the story and, above all, the signer list.
Season 3, Part 2 (2014)
The Governor's half of the season. The insert sets are The Governor, nine foil-stamped cards, and Woodbury, both at 1:12 packs. The autographs come from the people who made Woodbury: David Morrissey, Laurie Holden, Chad L. Coleman, Lennie James, Sonequa Martin-Green, Dallas Roberts and effects designer Gregory Nicotero. Andrew Lincoln, Norman Reedus and Danai Gurira appear on autographed wardrobe cards. Metal parallels and sketch cards fall at 1:288 packs, and there are prop cards with show-used shell casings.
Season 4, Part 1 (2016)
The fall of the prison. The strongest regular autograph list of the three for the lead cast: Andrew Lincoln, Norman Reedus and Melissa McBride all signed standard autograph cards, alongside David Morrissey, Scott Wilson, Emily Kinney, Chad L. Coleman and Greg Nicotero. The chase sets are Character Bios, Posters and Terminus, with prop cards and sketch cards inserted.
Season 4, Part 2 (2016)
The road to Terminus, and the first autograph cards of the newcomers: Michael Cudlitz, Josh McDermitt, Christian Serratos and Andrew J. West, alongside Andrew Lincoln, Norman Reedus, Steven Yeun and Danai Gurira. Every autograph exists in three numbered parallels — Black Foil to 125, Silver to 75, Gold to 25 — and the sketch cards fall at 1:700 packs, the scarcest in Cryptozoic's Walking Dead run. The chase sets include Reunion, a nine-card puzzle.
Choosing between them
Season 3 Part 2 is the Governor's set. Season 4 Part 1 has the lead cast on regular autographs. Season 4 Part 2 has the broadest signer list and the rarest cards.
All pull rates are averages across the full print run. No individual box is guaranteed to contain any particular signer or insert beyond the configuration described above.
